On January 8, 2002 President Bush passed the No Child Left Behind Act also know as NCLB. Since that day NCLB has become a big part of schooling around the nation. Some figure it has helped and others disagree. Many people do not think that NCLB involves them but it does. This Act effects everyone from students, t to each oneers, p arnts, to pull down tax payers. There has also been may issues arise with this ACT, such as is it raising student attainment as they hoped it would, the nub of schools that are being labeled as in convey of improvement, and if the funds are being dispuersed adequately.
Some may think that it is understood that students should be preforming on grade-level. If not they should not be able to pass and efforts should be made to help the students pop out that are failing. Although this is not how things were being done. The law requires states to measure student achievement by testing children in grades 3-8 every year and formerly in high school.
